Like ginger, turmeric is an excellent source of antioxidants and anti-inflammation nutrients. You have probably seen turmeric as a yellow-colored ground spice, alone or as a component in spice mixtures, such as mustard and curry.
Fresh turmeric root may be difficult to find in a regular grocery store, but it can be found in many natural foods groceries and Asian grocery stores. Turmeric tea can be prepared in the same manner as ginger tea.
- Turmeric root
- Lemon Juice
- Hot water
- Chop or slice turmeric root and grind in the blender with lemon juice.
- Keep the resulting mixture in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
- You can mix with hot water according to how much spiciness you’d like in the tea.
