Like ginger, turmeric is an excellent source of antioxidants and anti-inflammation nutrients. You have probably seen turmeric as a yellow-colored ground spice, alone or as a component in spice mixtures, such as mustard and curry.

Fresh turmeric root may be difficult to find in a regular grocery store, but it can be found in many natural foods groceries and Asian grocery stores. Turmeric tea can be prepared in the same manner as ginger tea.

Turmeric Tea
  • Turmeric root
  • Lemon Juice
  • Hot water
  1. Chop or slice turmeric root and grind in the blender with lemon juice.
  2. Keep the resulting mixture in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
  3. You can mix with hot water according to how much spiciness you’d like in the tea.
