When Dr. Wahls discusses her exploration of ‘super-nutrition’ to address her symptoms of MS, she speaks from the heart. Her audience benefits from explanations based in her training as a physician, as well as from her perspective as a person herself facing a potentially fatal disease. In a frank, humorous way, Dr. Wahls asks us to consider cellular function and how the foods we eat can help or hurt this critical process.
Her talks are inspiring because she is experiencing profound personal improvement in her health from following her protocol. I find her manner unpretentious, deeply caring, and fully engaging. Whatever their various challenges, they are having, the many students in her classes have been moved to take heart, and make changes for the better in their diets.
