Joy Mohr
Joy Mohr, PA-C, is a native Iowan. She works for Iowa Women’s Health Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Wartburg College and attended Des Moines University's physician assistant program, graduating in 2000.
She has a strong background in surgery, internal medicine, family practice and hospital medicine.
By empowering patients with options to improve their health and wellness, she is able to place them back in the driver’s seat of their own lives.
“Everyone is unique and fighting a different battle. I want to complement the patient’s care at a level they are comfortable with, along with their primary care provider and specialists, so everything is tailored to each individual. I provide information and resources to help improve the overall health and wellness for the mind, body and spirit. I hope to see reductions in medications and improvements in sleep, pain, mobility, cognition, and sustained vitality for each patient.”
After struggling with a rare medical condition and failing most conventional medicine options, I turned to functional and integrative medicine. I discovered the most significant improvement in my own health and wellness through these complementary medicine approaches. I wanted to become a Wahls Certified Health Professional to provide the same care to patients, to help them regain control of their health and wellness.
