Liver and Onions

  • Coating for the liver
  • 1:1 coconut flour & almond meal
  • pinch sea salt
  • pinch freshly ground pepper
  • garlic powder to taste
  • Entree Ingredients
  • chicken liver, cut in strips
  • 3 tablespoons bacon fat
  • sliced mushrooms
  • diced scallions or onion
  • diced celery
  • 1 cup chicken or beef broth (I used some leftover beef bone broth I had made. Delish!)
  1. The key is to cook at a high heat so the liver browns right away.
  2. Then cook at medium for a few more minutes with the veggies and then pour in the broth and cook until they are done.
  3. I tend to use extra garlic as well.
