The Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) is on a mission to reconnect people to healing foods and vibrant health. We provide affordable, applicable, rigorous education in Nutritional Therapy, empowering individuals to launch new careers, transform their health, and heal the world.

Our educational approach to Nutritional Therapy is guided by:

  • The teachings of key nutrition pioneers, especially Dr. Weston A. Price and Dr. Francis M. Pottenger Jr.
  • A commitment to the unique bioindividuality of every single person.
  • An unwavering focus on “The Foundations”: Digestion, Blood Sugar Regulation, Fatty Acids, Minerals, and Hydration.

The NTA offers two certification programs in Nutritional Therapy:

  • The Nutritional Therapy Practitioner™ (NTP®) Program
  • The Nutritional Therapy Consultant™ (NTC®) Program

Become Wahls Protocol® Certified and Earn 24 NTA CEU credits

The Wahls Protocol® Health Professional Certification Program is an NTA Preferred Partner. Learn from one of the leading experts in the field of functional medicine, become a certified Wahls Protocol Health Professional, and earn 24 NTA CEU credits!

Both are 9 months in length, cover 15 modules of study, and couple the flexibility of self-paced, online study with the benefits of instructor-led conference calls and in-person workshops. NTPs and NTCs both receive in-depth training in the NTA’s “Foundations” and the consequences that ensue when they are not supported with a properly-prepared, nutrient-dense diet. In addition, NTPs learn the Functional Evaluation, a hands-on assessment toolkit that can help identify specific nutritional deficiencies and imbalances in the body.

Using the NTA’s cutting edge online learning management system, students can interact with their instruction team and fellow students, receive access to comprehensive learning toolkit with video and audio lectures, reference documents, take mini-quizzes to assess mastery of key concepts, track progress, and more.
