In this interview with Andy Oudman and Pam Killeen, Dr. Wahls explains that eating habits and lifestyle are critical to restoring health, no matter what the underlying condition is. Many people are not getting enough calcium, magnesium, zinc, iodine, and omega-3 fatty acids, and this inefficient nutrition is the root cause of most disease.

While battling symptoms of multiple sclerosis, Dr. Wahls was also a professor of medicine conducting clinical research. Today, her research is focused on diet and lifestyle. The message that you can eat your way to good health is starting to spread.

Dr. Wahls touches on RDA’s (recommended dietary allowances) for nutrients and the importance of animal fat in the diet. She also explains how today’s most common chronic diseases such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and obesity are related to dietary habits.

This interview suggests that MS is curable when the body is given the nutrients it needs to heal. Pam Killeen states that “there are no incurable diseases, there are only incurable people.” Through her book, research, and talks, Dr. Wahls is working to make sure that people have the correct information they need to make the right decisions to benefit their health.

Pam Killeen is a nutritional consultant, and Andy Oudman is a radio talk show host. Pam explains that illness develops in stages and is a result of nutritional imbalance, deficiency, and toxicity. Her practice focuses on nutritional balancing and actively involving clients in their own healing process. Together, Pam and Andy help spread the message that we need to create a sustainable healthcare and food system through grassroots education.
